JVA – Joint Vibration Analysis
This helps us to check the health of your joints. It is extremely useful in diagnosis of TMJ and any smallest changes that are happening in your joint. It can help us create the correct, detailed and personalized plan to treat you and help relieve some of the pain and symptoms.
Panoramic X-ray machine
Panoramic x-rays allow us to take two dimensional (2-D) X-rays using a small amount of radiation to capture the entire mouth in a single image, including teeth, upper and lower arches and surrounding structures and tissues. It helps identify gum disease and find any abnormalities. It is extremely useful for people that gag as this type of x-ray involves no gagging.
Dental Cone Beam Machine (Digital X-ray)/CBCT
Dental Cone Beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a special 3-D x-ray machine with the views of neck up. It helps to get images of soft tissue, nerve pathways and bone in a single scan and identify abnormal pathology. It helps with treatment of planning for virtual implants, look at the jaw bone, sinus infections, TMJ, plan implants, and help in virtual sleep analysis for airways.
GEMPRO (only a diagnostic tool)
This is a diagnostic tool/monitor used to screen for airway issues, nighttime bruxism and the likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea. It studies how well the patient is breathing. It records EKG muscle activity on the chewing muscle and measures the oxygen saturation level.
Sleep Appliances
We make oral appliances which can be worn whilst sleeping like mouth guard or occlusal guards which supports the jaw in a forward position to help maintain an open upper airway. These are tailored to each person’s individual need. This is very useful in managing sleep apnea
Intra-oral Scanner (CEREC)
Cerec is short term for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics or Ceramic Reconstruction. This allows us to save time and get better results by taking advantage of the advanced technology in teeth restoration. CEREC has many advantages over the traditional methods as you can see in the table below:
The intra-oral camera allows us to take pictures and show you the interior of you mouth with high definition image. This is a wonderful tool we use all the time to show patients problems they might have in a more magnified way. It also allows us to store pictures in the patients’ records right away.
T-Scan
The T-scan is a digital occlusal analysis system, which allows us to measure a patient’s bite and the force that is required. A live video of how the patient’s teeth touch and the pressure that is exerted is recorded. This tool is more accurate than the blue paper that used to be used.
3-D Jaw Tracker
We have a 3-D Jaw Tracker which is an instrument we use to track opening and closing mouth movements, recording EMG muscle activity of 4 chewing muscles and jaw movement. It is extremely useful in helping to diagnose a person with TMJ related disorder.
Bio – EMG (electromyography)
The bio-EMG is used to record and balance the craniofacial muscle activity. We use this for implants, occlusions and bite corrections and to diagnose TMJ an sleep disorder.
Tens Unit (Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation)
The tens unit is a battery-operated device which delivers small electrical impulses through electrodes that have adhesive pads attached to the skin. The electrical impulses stimulate the nerves to treat pain by the release of natural endorphins, and works on muscle by breaking down the lactic acid. This helps with conditions like treating locked jaw, stiffness and headaches.
Soft Tissue Diode Laser
The soft tissue diode laser is used for restorative procedures, veneers, crown and bridge preparations, re-contouring the gum tissue and treat periodontal disease.
MLS Laser
Multiwave Locked System Laser Therapy is a patented, FDA cleared technology designed to produce an efficient and simultaneous effect on pain, contracture, inflammation, and edema within a short period of time. The control system that generates the MLS pulse synthronizes the emissions to achieve optimum results. This is useful in muscle treatment, bite registration and pain relief instantly by reducing inflammation.
Diagnodent Laser
A Diagnodent laser involves the use of a laser diode to inspect the patient’s teeth. It allows for detection of cavities even before they appear on the x-rays. The laser fluorescence detector within the DIAGNOdent pen is a precise method for identifying dental cavities and periodontitis.
CO2 Laser
A Diagnodent laser involves the use of a laser diode to inspect the patient’s teeth. It allows for detection of cavities even before they appear on the x-rays. The laser fluorescence detector within the DIAGNOdent pen is a precise method for identifying dental cavities and periodontitis.
You can see our lab has all the up to date technology and equipment to provide the best and complete dentistry all under one roof.
Furnace – to process the crowns
Same Day Milling Machine
To speed up the process and make the crown on the same day.
Lab Milling Machine (PMAA) – for making all on 4
PMMA or Polymethyl methacrylate is used to fabricate temporary dental restorations for a wide range of cases, including more complex indications such as large span bridges, implants and all on 4.
Glazing Oven
Used to polish and stain the crown to customize the crown to make it better.
Lab Scanner for 3-D Impressions
This scanner allows us to turn the impression into digital dentistry and get very accurate 3-D models. It is used to design your splint and the smile you desire.
